This was an incredibly exciting project as I had the privilege to design merchandise for the fantastic band Gengahr. In the beginning of 2020 Gengahr released their third album Sanctuary, and towards the fall/winter our paths crossed and I ended up designing a tote bag based on their latest album. Music is very dear to my heart and Gengahr is one of my favorite bands, so I was thrilled as I got to mix my love for music and design.
The band expressed a wish for the design to be colorful and autumnal, and I was inspired by designs by Robbie Simon. As the album art originally is a photograph in blue, dark tones I gave it a new more abstract look that catches one's attention from far away. The final design received good feedback and is now even sold out on their website.
